Lidiak, Frank Jacob

frank lidiakFrank Jacob Lidiak, died Friday, July 30, 2010 in Arlington, TX after a long illness. Born August 8, 1929 to Cecilia Stainacher Lidiak and Frank Joseph Lidiak, Frank, was a 1947 graduate of LaGrange High School, a varsity basketball player and all state football player. Receiving scholarships offers from several state university’s Frank accepted a football scholarship at TCU. After completing his business degree Frank entered the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. Completing his service commitment, Frank began his professional career which spanned 38 years at Millers Insurance Agency. Then living in Windcrest TX 1969-1973 Frank was the community’s Mayor Pro Tem, Fire Chief, and Police Commissioner. After moving to Arlington, TX in 1973 to accept additional responsibility with Millers, Frank retired as Vice-President of claims in 1992. Frank continued his career for several years as a claims adjuster for Parker and Associates in Dallas, TX. A 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus, Frank was the Grand Knight for cancel 6269 in 1979. Frank was also a member of Rolling Hills Country Club and served on their Board of Directors. A great athlete Frank bowled a 300 game, 2 holes in one and an Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Anne Lidiak, son Frank Jacob Lidiak, son Michael Thomas Lidiak and wife Jodi , daughter Marianne Lidiak Baker and husband Johnny. His brother Edward George Lidiak and his wife Carol Lidiak, 4 grand daughters and one grand son, many friends and relatives. A wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Frank and his wife Anne attend mass at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Arlington.

Viewing will be Thursday August 5, 6-8:00pm at Moores Funeral Home 1219 N. Davis, Arlington TX. A mass will be held in his honor at the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Friday, August 6, 10:00am located at 2100 North Davis Drive,

Frank’s graveside services will be held on Friday, August 6, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211
