Services of Mr. Vincent A. Luza, 82, of 1301 Fannin will be at 8:45 am and 9 am, Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Walter Matus will sing the Mass. Burial will follow in the Monsignor Gleissner Mausoleum in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
A rosary was scheduled to be recited at 8 PM today at Memorial Chapel. He died Saturday night in a local nursing home.
Mr. Luza was a lifetime resident of Brazos County. He was born May 2, 1895 and his parents were Vincent and Mary Luza. He was a retired farmer and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a veteran of Worl War I, member of K.J.T. Society, No. 14 and an honorary life member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 1834.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Luza and wife Lydia, Vincent J. Luza an wife, Judy, and Anton Luza and wife Willie Ann, all of Bryan, four daughters, Mrs. Louis (Mary) Zemanek and Mrs. Willie (Cecilia) Luza, both of Bryan, Mrs James (Helen) Milberger of Wheelock, and Mrs.Alfred (Tracy) Horn of Fort Worth, one brother, Joe Luza of Bryan, 22 grandchildren,and 27 great-grandchildren.
The following grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Kenneth Horn, Bill Luza, Charles Luza, Jr., Mike Milberger, Robert Moore, and Charles Zemanek. The other grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
