Sebesta, Ann Olga (Surovik)

Funeral services for Ann Olga Sebesta, 104, of Caldwell, are set for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012, at New Tabor Brethren Church, with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at New Tabor Brethren Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2012, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mrs. Sebesta passed away on October 24, 2012 in Caldwell.

Ann was born September 24, 1908, to Frank Surovik and Terezie (Macat) Surovik in Caldwell, Texas. Ann was a member of the New Tabor Brethren Church all of her life and also a member of Christian Sisters. In earlier times she was interested in nursing, and took several correspondence courses and became very knowledgeable in caring for others. She was active in the Red Cross, loved gardening and yard work. Ann was a great cook, specializing in kolaches. She also enjoyed fishing with her husband.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Florence Little, of Sandia, Texas; daughter-in-law, Sue Sebesta, of Onalaska, Texas; grandchildren, Yvonne Evans, Edward Sebesta, Jennifer Gligoric, David Little; great grandchildren, Christopher Ray, Daniel, Dawn, Jason, Phillip, Joshua, Joseph, Grace, Felicia, Clarissa, Christian, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry V. Sebesta; son, Eugene Ray Sebesta, Sr.; brothers, Frank and Henry Surovik; sisters, Tracey Odstrcil, Lydia Sefcik, and Lottie Witt; son-in-law, Charles Little; sister-in-law, Sadie Sebesta and grandsons, Christopher Michael Sebesta, and Eugene Ray Sebesta, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Edward Sebesta, Joshua Sebesta, Joseph Sebesta, Bennie Ray Sebesta, John Micaska, Jerry Zboril, and Christian Little.

Memorial contributions should be directed to the New Tabor Brethren Church.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell.
