Noska, Celestine

Celestine Noska, 95, of Frelsburg, Texas passed away on September 29, 2012 in Columbus, TX.

She was born on April 14, 1917 to Frank Noska, Sr. and Minnie (Janak) Noska in Frelsburg, Texas. Celestine retired from working in the meat department for Minimax Grocery and Bill & John’s Grocery as a meat processor. On May 30, 1934 she married Albert A. Noska whom preceded her in death on March 11, 1988.

She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg and St. Ann’s Altar Society.

Celestine is survived by three sons, James Noska and wife Jeannette of Columbus, TX, Donald Noska and wife Nancy, and Ernest Noska and wife Kathleen both of Frelsburg, TX; 7 grandchildren, Mary Ann Noska, Mark Noska, Stacey Noska, Matt Noska, Jason Noska, Douglas Noska, Nicole Noska, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert A. Noska, parents, Frank Noska, Sr. and Minnie (Janak) Noska, three sisters, Vlasta Seidl, Toney Pechacek, and Caroline Georgi, brother, Frank P. Noska, and two grandsons, James Joe Noska and Jeffrey Wayne Noska.

Parish Prayer Service & Rosary, 6:00 pm, Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus led by Deacon Chuck Glynn.

St. Ann’s Altar Society Rosary, 2:30 pm, Monday, October 1, 2012, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg.

Visitation will be held Sunday, 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Monday, 8:00 am – 12:00 noon at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus; and also on Monday, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012, 3:00 pm at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg with Fr. Wayne Flagg officiating.

Burial will follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Frelsburg. Pallbearers are her seven grandchildren, Mark, Mary Ann, Stacey, Matt, Jason, Douglas, and Nicole Noska.

Noska, Pearl Irene

Pearl Irene Noska, 75, of Columbus, Texas passed away on November 24, 2012 in Austin, Texas.

She was born on December 23, 1936 to Elo and Elvira (Heintschel) Lilie in Brushy Community, Texas. Pearl lived her lifetime in the Columbus area. She retired as a cafeteria cook from Columbus I.S.D. On October 22, 1957 she married Raymond E. Noska whom preceded her in death on February 3, 2009.

Pearl is survived by her daughter, Sandra Henneke and husband Tommy of Columbus, TX; sons, Kenneth Noska and wife Annette of Bastrop, TX, and Glen Noska and wife Margaret of Frelsburg, TX; sister, Carol Jean Chovanec of Fayetteville, TX; 8 grandchildren, Daniel Noska, Matthew Noska, Amanda Noska, Ryan Henneke, Haley Henneke, Travis Noska, Kristi Noska, and Megan Noska, 2 great grandchildren, Caden Noska and Noah Lavedan.

She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond E. Noska, parents, Elo and Elvira Heintschel Lilie, and brother-in-law, Anton Chovanec.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus and Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 8:30 am – 9:30 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus, Texas.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with Fr. Augustine N. Asante officiating.

Interment will take place in the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Frelsburg, Texas. Pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren.

Pustejovsky, Jerrilyn Marie (Noska)

Jerrilyn Marie (Noska) Pustejovsky, 53, of Columbus, Texas, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, September 13, 2012.

Jerrilyn was born in Houston, Texas on October 26, 1958, the daughter of Gladys (Pfertner) Noska of Houston and the late Jerry Noska. She married Kenneth Pustejovsky on January 18, 2004 in Wallis, Texas.

Jerrilyn was a hard worker and took delight in the simple things of life. She was never afraid to try new things and had many different occupations throughout her lifetime which lead her to open Jerrilyn’s Hair Salon in Wallis, Texas for four years. She eventually became a homemaker after her many years of hard work. Jerrilyn was a wonderful cook and loved taking care of her family and enjoyed rescuing animals. She had a love of life that showed in everything she did. She was blessed to have many friends that supported her.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Pustejovsky; son, Jeremy Muske and wife, Michelle, of Ellinger, daughter, Jamielyn Warren and husband, Lawrence, of Katy; stepson, Nicholas Pustejovsky and stepdaughter, Lisa Kanak and husband, Bennie, of Wallis; mother, Gladys Noska of Houston; father and mother-in-law, Leroy and Lil Pustejovsky of Wallis; brother, Randy Noska and wife, Dinah, of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Margaret Pustejovsky of Wallis; six grandchildren: Rebecca, Desirae, Hunter, John, D’Artagnan, Ethan; great grandchild, JaeLynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, Joe and Mary Pfertner, Rudolph and Emillie Noska, and Godparents, Leo and Josephine Noska.

1924-2012

Laura Ann Wied Noska of Ganado, formerly of El Campo, died July 6, 2012 at the age of 87. She was born July 8, 1924 in Garwood to Alex and Regina Hoelscher Wied.

She is survived by her daughters Linda Hamons of Victoria, Gail Hamons and husband Archie of Ganado, Sandra Green and husband Howard of Ganado; son Lee Hamons, Jr. and wife Barbara of Arp; grandchildren Steve Hamons (Raquel), Foy Hamons (Karrie), Clint Green (Sumer) Chad Green (Brooke), Jeff Stehno (Jessica), Kim Surratt (Jimmy), Deanne Barrie (Chris), Russell Melton; great-grandchildren Tanner, Taylor, Kaitlyn and Karleigh Surratt, Cayla Green, Shelby, Haley, McKenzie and Logan Stehno, Chelsea Barrie, Blain and Russell Melton, Jr., Kristen, Skylar, Kelsey, Ethan, Emma and Eric Hamons; sisters Clara Noska (Leo) of El Campo, Irene Pargman of San Antonio; brothers James Wied (Evelyn) of Van Vleck, Bobby Wied (Linda) of Eagle Lake; and the father of her children, Lee Hamons, Sr. of Ganado.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Michael Hamons, brothers A. J. and Ed Wied; husband Marcus Noska, and Jimmy Clark, her companion of many years.

Visitation will begin Noon Tuesday at Triska Funeral Home with a parish rosary being offered at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Joe Vrana officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Foy Hamons, Steve Hamons, Jeff Stehno, Russell Melton, Clint Green, and Chad Green. Honorary bearers are grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Noska, Leo Jerome

1934-2010

Leo Jerome Noska, 76, of Fayetteville, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at North Austin Medical Center in Austin.

Leo was born in Frelsburg, Texas on May 6, 1934, the son of the late Rudolph and Emillie (Ruether) Noska. He married Josephine Veronica Kaspar on June 3, 1956 in Fayetteville. Leo was an avid outdoorsman, cattleman and baseball fan.

He is survived by his sons, Kenneth Gene Noska and wife, Cathleen, of Fayetteville and Allen Dale Noska of Fayetteville; daughter, Sharon Marie Prigge and husband, Kenton, of Brenham; brother, Lee J. Noska and wife, Mary, of Houston; sisters, Bernice Zettel of Bellville and Victoria Sherwin and husband, Jim, of Houston; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Josephine Noska in January 2000; infant son, Glen Noska; three brothers, Ludwig, Jerry and Harry Noska; and sister, Leona Chovanec.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 8, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Knesek Chapel in Fayetteville. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Parish and KJT Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. following the visitation.

Funeral Services will be held at St. John Catholic Church in Fayetteville, on Friday, July 9, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. with Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Catholic Church in Fayetteville, or a memorial of their choice.
