Frankie Joe Patak, 75, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.
Frankie was born in Ennis, Texas on May 5, 1937 to Frank and Rosie (Novy) Patak. He grew up in Ennis and attended school at St. John Schools. On November 27, 1958 he married Virginia Lekar and they made their home in Ennis.
He worked for Valek’s Garage as a mechanic, he owned his own business called Patak’s Garage for many years and worked for Leggett and Platt, Inc. for several years. He was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, KJT, SPJST, WFLA and IOOF. He enjoyed hunting. He loved to work in his workshop.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Patak; son, Mark Patak; daughter, Judy and her husband, Mike Larson; one granddaughter, Cadie Larson and three sisters: Rosie Zhanel, Adell Miklis and Mildred Podrouzek.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Angline Hietzman.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Father John Dick and Rev. Mark Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
