Hrncir, Agnes Agatha (Rektorik)


Agnes Agatha Hrncir, who passed away Friday March 6, 1981, in a local hospital at age 85.

Sister Hrncir was born January 12, 1896 in Lavaca County and her parents were the late Frank and Mary Rektorik.  She was a resident of Robstown area since 1919.  Her husband was the late R.E. Hrncir who died August 2, 1959.  They were early settlers in the area and made their living farming.

She became a member of SPJST 4 March 1921, just over 60 years ago and was a member of Lodge No. 117 in Robstown all those years. Many lodge meetings were held in her home over the years and many of her relatives were active in the local lodge.  One son, Eugene Hrncir, is serving as District VII rest Homes Director and her daughter-in-law, Thelma Hrncir is the director for District VII.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 9 at 2 p.m., in the First United Methodist Church, where she had been a faithful member for many years.  She was buried in Robstown Cemetery beside her late husband.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Robstown Funeral Home.

Surviving are: three sons, Wilson Hrncir and Oscar Hrncir of Robstown, Eugene Hrncir of Corpus Christi; tow sisters, Mrs. Vlasta (Joe) Fabrygel of Robstown and Mrs. Paulie Hrncir of Hallettsville; seven grandchildren.

She is greatly missed by her children and grandchildren, to whom she had been most devoted. May our departed sister rest in eternal peace.
