Kovar, Annette Genevieve (Cmajdalka)


Annette Genevieve (Cmajdalka) Kovar, 77, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin.

Annette was born in Fayetteville, Texas on November 8, 1934, the daughter of the late Lad and Annie (Polasek) Cmajdalka. Annette Cmajdalka married Robert J. Kovar, Jr. on February 3, 1953 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville, Texas.

Annette served as Treasurer of KJZT #10, Secretary/Treasurer of RVOS Lodge #94 and was a member of the Altar Society.

She was a homemaker and was a wonderful cook and baker. Her passion was flowers and gardening. Annette loved her family. She was a devoted wife and worked side-by-side with her husband, Robert, with farming, ranching and their steel fabrication business.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert J. Kovar, Jr.; son, Richard Kovar and wife Gayle of Fayetteville; two sisters: Charlene Wick of Hallettsville and Lillian Krenek and husband, Clarence of Rockdale; brother, Alois F. Cmajdalka and wife Shirley of Houston; sister-in-law, Shirley Cmajdalka of Dallas; two grandchildren: Josh Kovar and wife, Candace and Amanda Campbell and husband, Patrick; three great grandchildren: Brandon and Blake Kovar and Nathan Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lad E. Cmajdalka.
